Happy Wild Swimming!
Being happy is great! If you are happy, you are almost certainly healthy too. At the very least you gain respite from something on your mind. Maybe relaxation from physical concerns. To some, happy wild swimming is their medicine. A release from daily grinds. To others it’s a purposeful way to retain fitness and well-being. You have the choice of where to swim and who to swim with.
From the sea views of the coastal swimming, to the highest mountain lakes. From sun-drenched shorelines to ice-threatened rivers. Enjoyment ranges from swim to swim. In the haven of wild swimming, swimmers often state proudly, “a swim is a swim!”
Wild swimming is everywhere! It has been a popular pastime for many years. Many people simply call it outdoor swimming. The phrase ‘wild swimming’ is a more adventurous label. In playfulness, it could be suggested that those who prefer ‘outdoor’ may be more traditional in their views. The mind-set of following strict rules is not always at the top of the list for people enjoying wild swimming activities. Just by including the word ‘wild’ swimmers are making a personal point. The individual feels intrigue and slight danger. They anticipate the encounter with some unknown creature also wild swimming! It’s just one of many reasons some like to experience the hobby.
There is a growing trend towards being in the water be that in the swimming pool or open water. The open water can be in the sea, rivers or lakes. Some even try reservoirs and urban waterways. Your own safety and that of others in the water is always the most important consideration. Talk to others about the best items to buy and how best to get the most from your swims.
